NEW PITCHING RELAY FOR WIN

It is three-game rematch of ALDS last season. Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim welcomed New York Yankees as the home opener 2006 season on 7 April. All three games, starting pitcher each had decided the way the game flowed and relief pitcher each had perfectly relayed to the next one in order to win the game.
Angel closer Francisco Rodriguez went out in 9th after J. C. Romero and Scot Shields held the opening game of the series. They all allowed no singles in three innings to win the game, 4-1. The 2nd game, K-Rod stood again in 9th, relayed Romero and Shields. But Japanease Yankee Hideki Matsui, who was the last batter in last ALDS Game 5 against Rodriguez, hit his straight ball to carry the right sheet, forced the gap close, 3-2. After that, K-Rod retired follwing batters by breaking balls to save the game.
Yankees exploded to collect double-digit hits in the 3rd game, sending off Angels starter Bartolo Colon midway through the 3rd before winning relievers helped starter Mike Mussina last three innings. Yankee closer Mariano Rivera closed the game with no save marking, 10-1, taking over to Kyle Farnsworth and Scott Proctor with no hits allowed.
Angels and Yankees, both teams have showed the strength of relievers, so the performance of starters will make the team influence.
