Komadai-Tomakomai's ace pitcher Masahiro Tanaka relieved Masahiro Okada from on the way of the 2nd and showed strong pitching to contribute a win over Chiben-Wakayama in the Semifainals of the Tournamnt at Koshien. Tanaka allowed 4 hits and a run with 2 walks over 8 innings. Especially his breaking ball was marvellous enough to collect ten strikeouts from a Kinki region team, whose slugger Ryosuke Hiroi was stopped tournament tie record 5th homerun to end no hits and 3 strikeout of 5 at-bats.
Now one more win to three consecutive win of the tournamnet for Tomakomai.
