SCHUMI WINS CHINESE GP TO EVEN THE POINT WITH ALONSO
Michael Schumacher of Ferrari took a victory from the 6th grid in wet conditioned Chinese Grand Prix of FIA formula one racing. Schumi, who announced his retirement after the Italian GP last month, tied Championship points, 116, with Fernando Alonso of Renault, who finished 2nd, remaining just two races.
Alonso started from the pole-position and cruised to extend the lead. Wet course at Shanghai International Circuit, however, made a story when the Spanish Champion changed them for new tyres in the first pit despite Schumi and Renault's fellow driver Giancarlo Fisichella staying on the tyres. Alonso's new tyres were slow to warm, so he couldn't have kept a speed than before. After a few laps, he wasted the lead to be stealed his position by chasing Fisichella and Schumi.
With gradually a dry line appearing, Fisichella keep Schumacher some laps from overtaking himself. But after the second stop the Italian driver couldn't do it when the German took best space of the first corner after the exit of the pit lane faster than Fisichella. Alonso, who changed slick tyres next stop, tried to catch up the Ferrari but inherited the second position from the fellow driver to end the race.
Now, next weekend is Suzuka. I cannnot look aside the moment when this year's champion might be named there.
