Brazil, who deseved a win from Russia in the second round last Sunday, stood there as only unbeaten-team for first world crown but Sheilla Castro spiked long to tie at 13 in the tie-break. And Yulia Merkulova block on Jaqueline Carvalho and Ekaterina Gamova spike gave the South Amerian the first tournament loss and the silver medal.
Looking back on the tournament, I was surprised at volleyball's match-point system, in which winning team earns two points while a loser also can take one point. That rule of one-point made me comlexed the chart for the final when I enjoyed the crimax of the second round. Well, I will be used next men's tournament.
