9-MAN KASHIMA STAYS ALIVE TO BEAT URAWA

J-LEAGUE

Takuya Nozawa gave Kashima Antlers a precious win over Urawa Red Diamonds when the away team extended the eight straight to hope the J-League title alive since 2001 season.

Ending the half, the gray shirts lost Toru Araiba due to the second yellow, but ten men showed fighting spirits in the 2nd half to replace him with Masashi Motoyama at the right sideback! And a 66th-minutes ball from Marquinhos, Yuzo Tashiro to Nozawa silenced over 60 thousand home suporters. The substitute Yuji Funayama sent off, however Antlers' defence made me remember the solid in the glory period.

Last match of the season, Urawa goes to Yokohama FC as Kashima meets Shimizu. The possibility of the title will be near Reds, but I expect Kashima's nine consecutive wins.

match result:

Kashima 1-0 Urawa (24 Nov)
66' NOZAWA
